The Signature Series is a series of very special instruments into which attention and time have been lavishly poured. Artistic inlays of various designs are used with materials including, but not limited to, abalone shell, white, gold and black mother of pearl shell, wooly mammoth ivory and legal elephant ivory, reconstituted stone, brass, copper, pewter, nickel and various fine woods including ebony, holly, quilted sapele, pomelle bubinga, curly koa, curly zebrawood, etc. I personally, individually hand cut with a jeweler’s saw and inlay all of the pieces and engrave some to add detail and beauty. I also use binding on the edges of all of these instruments, individually cutting the binding and the channel into which it goes. The binding is usually ebony, holly, curly koa, bubinga or zebrawood.

When the construction is completed, then begins the approximately one month long finishing process. This process involves the spraying of 18 coats of instrument lacquer as well as MUCH sanding (wet and dry), rubbing, and buffing. This is a very time consuming process, but the finish that it produces is beautiful to behold.

                                                             CUSTOM ORDERS
Custom orders, designs and commissions are welcome.  Have your own absolutely unique instrument.  Choose your woods, inlay design, inlay materials and binding.  Also, if you have wood that has special meaning to you, have it made into a one-of-a-kind heirloom instrument that you will treasure (and your friends envy).
